About the artist

There is a very short time-lapse series in a single image.   There is a reference to time passing in these pieces, a few seconds or maybe days.  What had been there becomes a pale ghost within the image. More paint is applied in strong and solid brushwork to show the now. I focus on images that are familiar, that I see daily, that I want to understand better.

I'm a painter, making monotypes with oil based etching inks.   It works for me. There is endless variation in tools, materials and what you can do with them, a lifetime of possibilities.
